As part of our AmeriCorps Program, Breakthrough welcomes enthusiastic college students to teach and mentor during our academic summer sessions. Through the guidance of Instructional Coaches, AmeriCorps Teaching Fellows teach English, math, social studies, science, and STEM to classes of eight to ten middle school students, as well as work with students attending our high school institutes. Teaching Fellow are given the opportunity to lead study skills lessons and design elective classes for their students. This summer, we were fortunate to have the support of a record 146 AmeriCorps Teaching Fellows, all working together to help us build the path to college for first-generation college graduates
