For Students: Breakthrough Internship Network
Open to incoming freshmen and all other college students from Breakthrough and KIPP. Students accepted during the regular application timeline will have access to Accenture, as well as local Austin companies with more specialized internship needs.
The Breakthrough Internship Network Program arranges full-time, paid, professional internships for Breakthrough & KIPP college students and provides opportunities to grow their professional network, gain work experience, and explore potential career paths.
Key Benefits
- Gives access to multiple coaching and training workshops
- Provides leadership and workforce development skills such as communication etiquette, public speaking, interviewing, resume building, cover letter writing
- Connects students to several internship opportunities with global companies and local Austin businesses that pay between $10-$20/hour
WHO CAN APPLY?
- Students currently enrolled college students, age 18 or older from either Breakthrough or KIPP
- Students who agree to adhere to all host company policies
WHAT’S THE PROCESS?
- Students apply/interview prior to acceptance into program
- Students are recommended to internship host companies to apply, interview, and receive coaching throughout the process
- Attend various training workshops, kick-off event, and participate in end of summer Presentations of Learning
