Beat the Odds 2016 raises more than $200,000 for first-gen college graduates!
On Tuesday, November 1, nearly 400 community members and philanthropic leaders gathered to celebrate Breakthrough students beating the odds to become the first in their families to graduate from college.

Kenneth Vickers Memorial Golf Tournament raises $25,000 for Breakthrough
The fifth annual Kenneth Vickers Memorial Golf Tournament, presented by Avison Young, raised $25,000 for Breakthrough’s students and mission. Kenneth Vickers was a senior project manager at Cushman and Wakefield who passed away unexpectedly in 2012
Breakthrough receives $1 million donation from Gregg and Diana Lowe
Breakthrough is thrilled to announce we have received the largest donation in our organization’s history from Diana and Gregg Lowe. The Lowes issued the gift as a challenge grant to launch the “More Breakthroughs, Brighter Futures” Growth Campaign with a goal of raising $2 million to support the enrollment of 600 additional Breakthrough students.
