For the first time in the history of Breakthrough we will be participating in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. All funds raised will go towards supporting Veronica and the rest of the Breakthrough Class of 2018. With 96 high school seniors strong, this is our largest graduating class yet and our first class of Manor high school seniors!
While there are one million ways you can support your community during Giving Tuesday, over the past week we’ve been sharing on social media the top 5 ways you can support Veronica and her fellow high school seniors! See a recap of how you can support below!
Now more than ever our high school seniors need to know that the entire Breakthrough community has their back. Please take a moment to write a note of encouragement to our students here, on our Facebook or do it in person at the Giving Tuesday Pop Up Party!
Our students are always in need of extra notebooks, pens, binders, paper, and TI-84 Graphing Calculators. Find a full list of items here. Donated items can always be dropped of at the Breakthrough office or at today’s Giving Tuesday Pop Up Party!
Everything is more fun when you do it with a friend including supporting Breakthrough’s class of 2018! Share on social media why you’re passionate about Breakthrough and encourage a friend to join you in your mission of making college dreams come true.
The road doesn’t stop for the Class of 2018 after graduating from high school and neither does their need for your support! Please consider making a sustainable, monthly gift here to Breakthrough to ensure that every student has the support to get from the high school graduation stage to the college graduation stage.
Last week, our #Classof2018 came together for a Breakthrough Thanksgiving tradition, “No Pie Until You Apply.”Seniors worked on their college applications, got feedback on their essays, and most importantly ate some delicious pie! This is just one example of the programs that are available to our high school seniors because of the generosity of our Breakthrough community. Make a gift today to support programs like this for our high school seniors!
