Our Development Team would love to connect, reach out anytime at donations@breakthroughctx.org.

What if I want to change my gift?

Your recurring online donation is secure and flexible. You choose the amount you wish to give each month and the gifts are set up to be charged automatically, like a subscription. Your giving can be changed or canceled at any time by visiting Breakthrough’s Donor Portal or contacting us at donations@breakthroughctx.org

Will I receive a tax receipt?

Breakthrough provides a receipt for your first month’s gift, indicating the start of monthly payments. In each month that follows, you can expect an email confirmation of giving, but no separate receipt. At the beginning of each year,  we will send you a full-year receipt to detail your total giving for tax purposes. If you’d like anything different, just let us know.

Breakthrough Central Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 74-2991346), and your gift is tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Meet the community that’s changing lives.

Friends of First Gen is made up of generous, determined people—just like you. Together, our Breakthrough community has already helped more than 500 first-generation students walk the path to and through college—and thousands more are on the way. By standing with us, you’ll be part of the movement that’s opening doors, fueling dreams, and shaping brighter futures. You’re going to fit right in.

I support Breakthrough because it’s a tangible way to support educational equity, the belief that every child should receive what they need to develop to their full academic and social potential. Breakthrough works to ensure equally high outcomes for all students in our educational system; removing the predictability of success or failure that currently correlates with any social or cultural factor. This transformational work can only be done in community, in trusting partnerships with students and their families.

As a Breakthrough alum I know first hand the significance of having a community of supporters invested in your success. From the selfless teachers who give their summers to prepare you for the following years’s curriculum, the staff who work tirelessly to turn the program’s lofty goals into reality, and the donors who’s contributions fuel the whole operation, everyone is working to  support the individual student. Success on this scale is not possible without a community dedicated to empowering first generation college students.
