Breakthrough is honored to have been selected once again as a beneficiary of the 6th Annual Kenneth Vickers Memorial Golf Tournament. Over the past four years, this event has contributed more than $100,000 to Breakthrough, providing direct support for our students as they defy the odds to become first-generation college graduates.
About the Golf Tournament
The Kenneth Vickers Memorial Golf Tournament was started in 2012 by Breakthrough supporter, Chad Williams, in memory of his talented, kind, giving and often goofy colleague, Kenneth Vickers, who passed away on May 8, 2012, just days before his 40th birthday. Kenneth left a large family and his young son, Carson. With the help of Kenneth’s friends and family and the generosity of tournament sponsors and participants, the event has contributed more than $100,000 to Breakthrough, as well as significant funds to a 529 account for Carson’s education. This year’s tournament will honor Veterans and their families in the Central Texas Region. All cash events (Super Tickets, Ball Drop, and Silent Auction)proceeds will be donated to Heroes Night Out.
Presented by Kenneth’s family and friends at Avison Young.
